We are proud to offer both Geoprobe® and manual sampling with Geoprobe® and standard split spoons. Our equipment includes a Geoprobe® 5410 mounted on a Ford F550 4x4 truck, our own homemade unit "the turtle", Scat Trak, as well as the combination capabilities of our truck and track mounted rigs to utilize Geoprobe® sampling methods. Geoprobe® is a cost effective alternative for obtaining soil samples that reduces drilling and assessment costs on some projects.

What is a GEOPROBE®?

Geoprobe® is a brand name of hydraulically powered percussion direct push sampling designed specifically for use in the environmental industry.

Soil probing techniques can be thought of as a subcategory of what are commonly referred to as “Direct Push” techniques. Direct push refers to tools, sensors, and sampling equipment that are inserted into the ground without drilling a hole to make a path for the rod.

A Geoprobe® relies on the static weight of the vehicle combined with percussion as the energy for the advancement of the tool string. This allows for the collection of soil samples, water samples, and small wells.

Manual Sampling

Manual Sampling with Geoprobe® tools gives you an option when you have very limited access or are inaccessible by vehicles. By using an electric jack hammer or hand weight, either Geoprobe® rods or convention split spoons can be advanced to obtain the samples you need.
