Driller Profiles
All of our drillers were initially hired as
helpers by Fox Exploration. After working along senior drillers
for several years, they were promoted as rigs became available.
All are 40-hour Hazmat trained and kept up with 8 hour refreshers annually. They are also part of our medical monitoring
program.
Rick Eger - Superintendent
While primarily our superintendent, Rick's field experience
still makes him invaluable in the field. Hired as a helper in
1985 by Canonie Construction, Rick worked all over the country
for four years until being promoted to driller in 1989. He has
extensive experience with all sizes of hollow stem auger, geothermal drilling, mud
and air rotary, and coring both conventional and wireline. He
has worked on ATV's, skid rigs, geoprobes and offshore barge
drilling. Rick has installed monitoring wells from 1" to 14" in
diameter and is also an Indiana licensed water well driller as well as a geothermal licensed installer.
Donald Eger
Don was hired in 1988 as a helper when Fox Exploration expanded
to eight rigs and gained experience for 4 years until being promoted
to driller in 1992. Don has extensive experience in all sizes
of hollow stem auger, geothermal drilling to depths of 400'+, mud and air rotary, conventional and wireline
coring. He has worked on ATV's, skid rigs, geoprobes, done offshore
barge drilling and is also our angle hole specialist. Don has
installed monitoring wells from 1" to 14" in diameter and is
also an Indiana licensed water well driller as well as a geothermal licensed installer.
Paul Eger
Paul was hired as a helper by Fox Exploration in 1990 and gained
experience for 5 years until being promoted to driller in 1995.
Paul has extensive experience with all sizes of hollow stem auger,
mud and air rotary, conventional and wireline coring as well
as Geoprobe sampling. He has worked on ATV's, skid rigs, geoprobes
and offshore barge drilling. Paul has installed monitoring wells
from 1" to 14" in diameter and is also an Indiana licensed water
well driller as well as a licensed geothermal installer.
Joe Jennings
Joe was hired by RD-n-P Drilling in early 2007 as a helper and after 1 year was promoted to driller status. He has experience in water well drilling (air & mud), geothermal drilling to depths of 400'+, hollow stem auger drilling (2 1/4 - 12 1/4), geoprobing, well installation (1"-8"), and much more. Because of Joe's knowledge, experience, and work performance we are fortunate to utilize him as a Driller. He is also an Indiana licensed water well driller and licensed geothermal installer.
Don Smith
Don was hired in 1998 by Fox Exploration as a helper and has
stayed on with RD-n-P Drilling. He has started to be used as
a driller due to his experience and is performing well. He has
experience with hollow stem auger, mud rotary and conventional
rock coring. He has also run Geoprobe, ATV's and skid rigs. Don
has installed monitoring wells from 1" to 8" in diameter and is also an Indiana licensed water well driller as well as a licensed geothermal installer.
Harry Mooney
Harry was hired as a helper by Fox Exploration
in 1993. Harry has had extensive training beside Drillers
that has given him the knowledge to be a key person here at
RD-n-P Drilling. He has experience with wire lining, monitoring
well installation up to 8”, hollow stem auger, mud
rotary and conventional rock coring, geoprobing, and much
more. Because of Harry's knowledge, experience
and proven work performance we are fortunate to utilize him
as a Driller. He
is also an Indiana licensed water well driller as well as a licensed geothermal installer.
Kris Norwick
Kris started in 1998 as a driller's helper for Fox Exploration, Inc. and after two years he was promoted to driller. Kris has experience with all sizes of hollow stem augers, mud & air rotary, and coring both conventional and wireline. He also has experience on offshore barges running the skid rig and tripod setup. Kris spends time running our geoprobe and has the mechanical experience to repair our equipment. He is an Indiana licensed water well driller as well as a licensed geothermal installer.
Helpers
RD-n-P's helpers have between 3 to 12 years of experience, and
have worked on all of our equipment in tandem with our drillers.
They are all skilled with hollow stem auger, mud and air rotary,
conventional as well as wire line coring and Geoprobe sampling. They have knowledge of all types of monitoring and extraction
wells and are well versed in decontamination procedures. All
field personnel are 40-hour Hazmat trained and part of our medical
monitoring program. All Helpers are Geothermal licensed installers.
