RD-n-P has 2 Dietrich D-50 Turbo track rigs and also have adapted other rigs to expand their capabilities.

We have two angle capable rigs in our fleet!  Our Mobile B-4300 rig was purchased in 2002 to expand our abilities in that area.  It is capable of drilling at 15, 30, and 45 degrees from vertical, we have used it for soil sampling, geoprobing, and rock coring to depths of as much as 400 ft. (wireline core) on a 45° angle as well as well installation.

We have a late model Acker Soil Max rig that began as a truck mounted rig but due to high demand for all-terrain capability of a more powerful rig than a D-50, we mounted it on a Morooka MST-1500 track crawler.  This gives us a versatile machine that can not only get to just about any location, but has the power to drill just about any diameter hole, depth, method (HSA, mud, air, rock core) or angle you need when you get there!

When you have limited access to where you need to sample, geotechnical or environmental, our D-25 can probably get there.  The D-25 can fit through doorways as small as 4 ft. wide and can drill with as little as 11 ft. of overhead clearance with its pull-down feed cylinder design.  To increase its mobility, we mounted it on a set of rubber tracks so it moves under its own power from location to location.

The need for a small, mobile Geoprobe unit and the lack of one being manufactured at the time (Circa 1998) that we wanted, it lead us to construct our own.  By taking a Ditch Witch 4WD trencher and mounting a 90# hydraulic hammer with a 10,000# - 5 ft. stroke cylinder gave us “The Turtle”.  This machine can’t only Geoprobe, but spin augers, including hollow stem, and go places trucks can’t.  This has proved to be a valuable asset in many situations.

We have a D-50 drill rig out-fitted with a Deutz 4 cylinder diesel engine mounted on a Kubota RG-60 track crawler.  This gives us a mid-sized rig and carrier for those jobs that not only need a track rig, but also more carrying capability than a small remote control track rig gives you, as well as the ability to haul water in its 200 gallon tank.

To carry our bigger track rigs (Morooka and Kubota) we have our own lowboy.  This drop trailer with a Kenworth power unit allows us the flexibility to mobilize these ATV’s (racks) on a moments notice without having to schedule a pickup with an outside carrier.

Our small track rig(s) can either be carried on our Peterbuilt rollback or Beaver Creek trailer towed by an International box truck.  Once again, the ability to move these rigs ourselves allows us flexibility in scheduling others may not have.

We have a 6x4 water truck capable of hauling water when there is no source close or if it is muddy.  We also have a dump bed truck that is also a water tank holder when called for.

There is a Scat Trak skid steer that serves many purposes.  Not only good for moving soil, but we have other attachments – forks, post-hole auger and backhoe that we use for material handling, guard post installation, test pits and well abandonment.

Almost every drill rig in our fleet has been outfitted with the ability to Geoprobe.  This gives our clients the flexibility to not only Geoprobe sample, but  to use augers and install wells with 1 machine instead of 2 separate ones, keeping their mobilization costs down.
